New Year New Beginnings

I’m excited for the start of 2026. Last year, 2025, was a rough one. My husband of 30 years suddenly died in July, which sent both my personal life and my business life into a tailspin. I’m not gonna lie, it was a really really rough time. I cancelled all the craft fairs I had booked and spent my time healing instead of hustling. My friends and family have been so supportive and caring. They’ve picked up the slack when I was really down, and I’m grateful to have them in my life.
I spent much of the last few months soothing my soul with crafting (sewing, quilting, drawing, coloring, and of course crochet). It resulted in quite a few new products that I’m eager to add to my shop. I particularly like making covers for journals and books. I’ve listed one of the book sleeves on my Etsy so far. I will be adding some to my store here as well, but there will be no duplication from shop to shop. In other words, you won’t see the same item in both places. I haven’t yet figured out how to SUCCESSFULLY link my Etsy store to my Shopify store. :( I don’t want to accidentally sell something twice. All most all of my items are one of a kind. If you know how to get Shopify and Etsy to speak to each other, please help a middle aged woman out and leave me a comment on how to do it.
Now with the beginning of a new year, I’m taking the opportunity to reshape and redefine what I do with my tiny little business. I’ve contemplated changing the name of the business and starting a Youtube channel. Greg always wanted me to start the Youtube channel. He said he thought I would be good at it. I’m not so sure about that, but it would be nice to connect with other people who love crafting.
I hope the new year is good to you and that you have peace and joy and all the good things you deserve.
